Use Your Voice


Use Your Voice (UYV) is a curatorial platform and cultural infrastructure founded by Jasmine Gabrielle Washington that explores how visibility, value, and recognition are produced across institutional, social, and interpersonal space.

Working across exhibitions, research, writing, public programming, and collaborative projects, UYV centers voices and forms of knowledge often misrecognized, undervalued, or rendered illegible within dominant systems of measurement. The platform moves through questions of care, language, memory, interiority, labor, and the politics of perception.

Rather than prioritizing spectacle, speed, or productivity, UYV invests in slower forms of engagement rooted in relation, critical listening, and collective reflection. It operates as both a platform and an evolving cultural infrastructure supporting artists, writers, cultural workers, and communities whose practices exceed easy categorization or quantification.

Through UYV, exhibitions become constructed environments, writing becomes a form of witnessing, and listening becomes an ethical, political, and creative act.
